Posterous gets built in (no need to leave the page) retweet buttons
By Zee on November 16, 2009
Just a little heads up about another nifty Posterous feature.
While the simple blogging/lifestream platform has yet to allow any JS plugins, (”probably within a month” says co-founder Garry Tan) Posterous is currently working on deep integration of the essentials. One of these features will bring a smile to many a geeks face, a simple but beautifully integrated retweet button.
The button is enabled for all default skins now, you can disable/enable by visiting your blogs theme editor the clicking Customize > Retweet Button.
And why is this such a slick implementation? When anyone clicks to retweet, they simply connect Posterous to their Twitter account and they can go “retweet happy” without leaving the blog posts page.
Try it out here.
Note. if you have a custom theme, you’ll need to manually add the necessary code to your blog theme, directions here.

This function is simply brilliant. I was trying to suggest that if Posterous can have a reblog/rePost function built-in. And then they have a retweet button. Outstanding Job!!
